This autumn we were delighted to welcome Mrs Phillips, who joins WCPS as our new Head of EYFS and Reception Teacher. Below she shares a little bit about herself as she answers a few questions from the floor!
What path led you to WCPS?
I started my career in the maintained sector before moving to an all-girls prep school in Hammersmith, where I was Head of Lower School. My family and I relocated to The Netherlands, so I taught in a prep school in Richmond which was transitioning to co-ed temporarily before our big move. I welcomed some of the very first girls to join the school into my class!
When I was six years old, I joined a school on The Wirral where I was the only girl in the class, before being swiftly moved to an all-girls school.
The role at WCPS felt like serendipity, coinciding perfectly with our move back to London. I have always heard wonderful things about the school, and now I am a part of the team I can confirm it truly is a wonderfully special school!
What are you most looking forward to about working at WCPS?
